Nicki Minaj Visits Good Morning America & Live! With Kelly [Video]
Fresh off her staged “exorcism” at the Grammys, Nicki Minaj is back to her sugary sweet, media darling self. This morning, the YMCMB Barbie and Ricky Martin visited Good Morning America and Live! With Kelly to speak on their involvement with cosmetic company MAC and their Viva Glam campaign. Every cent of the proceeds from the Viva products goes to raising HIV and AIDS awareness- it's an issue that Nicki says she has a personal connection with.
“I had an uncle who passed away from AIDS and he actually was living in Trinidad, so it's duly important because it's my family and in addition it's my country," Nicki said on Good Morning America. "So when MAC reached out, we spoke a lot about us going to the Caribbean islands and raising awareness there. Of course we want to do everything, everywhere we can, but it's important for people from the islands to understand that it's not something that should only be discussed in America. This is something that's killing a lot of… Especially Black women. Young Black women.”
She also explained the Grammy performance and her Roman/Martha storyline to wide-eyed members of mainstream America. She says her inspiration was tied into celebrating differences instead of ostracizing those who have them.
“I created these characters Martha and Roman two years ago and I never really had a format to put them in front of the world," she told GMA. "Really, Roman is a character who's been ridiculed, tore apart and pulled down and when I wrote the song, I envisioned it being in a monastery because Roman gets shipped away to a monastery by his mom who thinks there's something wrong with him and in fact there's nothing with him being different. There's nothing wrong with him being eccentric and that's what I wanted to show.”
Admit it, as bizarre as it was to see Nicki levitate off the stage, it wouldn't be as fun to see her spit standing in one place.

The Grammy nominations were announced last night. Find out how many awards your favorite YBF celebs are up for when you read on...
Eminem secured ten Grammy nominations, making him the most nominated artist this year. Some of the Grammy's he's up for include song/record of the year, album of the year, and best rap song. And at the other end of the spectrum,Kanye only nabbed up 1 and it's for Best Solo Rap Performance for "Power". Very interesting. But it may be because the Grammy deadline was in September . Who knows.
Newcomer Bruno Mars picked up seven Grammy nods. Hope he's not locked up that night. Jay-Z follows closely behind with six and B.O.B. and John Legend each have five. Drake is nominated for two awards for best new artist and best rap album. And Beyonce grabbed up 2 nods--1 for Best Pop Vocal Performance for her Live version of "Halo" and 1 for "Telephone" with Lady Gaga.
Newbie Janelle Monae's "Tightrope" was recognized in Best Urban/Alternative Performance and Sade received two nods. Yay! Rihanna grabbed 4--3 of which are due to her featurette on Em's "Love The Way You Lie". the other is Best Dance Recording for "Only Girl".

According to gay activist Peter Tatchell, Whitney Houston was a secret lesbian and binged on the drugs and alcohol that killed her because she was torn over living a lie.Rumours have been circulating for 30 years that the singer had had a secret relationship with her ex-assistant, but her friends have now publicly spoken about her sexuality following her death.Gay rights activist Peter Tatchell even said her marriage to Bobby Brown was a smokescreen.‘It’s important to tell the truth about this aspect of her life,’ he told the Daily Star.Whitney was happiest and at her peak in the 1980s when she was with her female partner.‘They were so loved up and joyful together. Perhaps her inability to accept and express her same-sex love contributed to her substance abuse and decline.’He added: ‘She was pressured into the Bobby Brown marriage. It was a disaster. Her life started going downhill soon afterwards.’The British-based campaigner did not name the woman but other sources have said it was Robyn Crawford.The pair had know each other since Whitney was 16 and Robyn dropped out of Monmouth College to work for the singer.Just hours after her death, she wrote a Valentine’s Day-themed tribute to Whitney hours after she died, which was published in a U.S. magazine.It said: ‘I first met Whitney when I was 16 and knew right away she was special.‘Whitney was modelling and had peachy-coloured skin and didn’t look like anyone I’d ever met in New Jersey.‘I can’t believe that I’m never going to hug her or hear her laughter again.’The claims have also been backed up by Whitney’s sister-in-law and her ex-bodyguard Kevin Ammons.Even her former husband Bobby has hinted their marriage was a cover-up for her desire for women.Bobby’s sister Tina Brown said: ‘I saw her with a woman a couple of times.’And Bobby, 43, wrote in his biography that the marriage was was ‘doomed from the very beginning. Roburt Sallie, a former Memphis Tiger who once scored 35 points in 36 minutes during the NCAA tournament by going 10-15 from 3, has been playing in Spain chasing his NBA dream. But he had a setback this week as he was cut from his team. The former Memphis Tiger talked with CBSSports.com’s Gary Parrish in a radio interview today and wanted to clear the air about this penis enlargement stuff.Two things he attempted to clarify in this absolutely must-listen interview: 1) He did not take “ExtenZe” but a male enchancement pill called “Black Ant.” The difference is that “ExtenZe” is to enlarge your manhood while “Black Ant” is just something to increase sexual potency. As Sallie put it, he just wanted to try it out to see what’s up. The jokes write themselves, you guys.But he did not take a pill to enlarge his package though. He wanted to make that very clear. As he shouted repeatedly, “If you really think that I’ve taken ‘ExtenZe’ to enhance my penis, then you must be crazy.”Of note too: Sallie says he disclosed that he took the enhancement pills and also says he has not been paid. He wasn’t “cut” as the team says, but actually released himself.

“She has been totally doting on Blue,” a source close to the diva tells Us. “She’s up whenever the baby’s up!” And the self-described workaholic — who typically toured, recorded albums and promoted her perfumes and clothing line at a nonstop clip — welcomes the lifestyle change.
“She’s enjoying this time off,” the source says.
We’re glad to hear this, but with BeyBey’s track record her and Blue gonna be up in the studio recording a new album in a month.

I am launching an eye wear collection with Selima Salaun this March [Selima Optique is a trend-setting, luxury eyewear brand]. It’s a collaborative effort and it's my first collaboration with an established designer. But I am also finishing up my sample collection for my own line--my women's contemporary line. We hopefully will be in markets for Fall 2012. You all are the first to have that news!

I think everyone will be surprised by it. And I wouldn’t call it a reality show, there is some type of format to my show. Something that you have to stay tuned to and definitely watch. My kids aren't really involved, but they do make a guest appearance. They're sprinkled in....
There’s lots of drama, there's lots of good energy, there's a lot of stuff to take away to learn. The drama is survival. Each client presents a new challenge and you take the journey of the emancipation.
